Are you one of those guys whose day starts at the crack of dawn and ends, if you are lucky before midnight? Your meals invariably involve dropping food into your keyboard or the beep of the microwave. Try these proven,time saving tips to lose your excess weight, without wasting precious time.

Problem: you eat on the go.

Solution: This isn’t really a problem – as long as you cut out pies, pizzas and other pastries packed with standard fats. Keep foods like nuts, dried fruits and whole wheat crackers in your bag, at the office and in your car. They are ideal for filling you up and when kept in a container, they won’t spoil .

Why it works : it’s important to eat something during the day, not only for the energy and strength it gives you, but also because you don’t start grazing in the evening because you are starving. Avoid ready made snacks and street foods like pastries, sweets and chocolates- they don’t give you sustained energy. Instead, they add excessive fat.

Problem: You don’t have time for breakfast.

Solution: If you have a minute to spare, between gelling your hair and brushing, then you have time.

Try these one minute breakfasts.

  • 1 fruit+ a glass of low fat milk.
  • 1 cereal bar + a glass of low fat milk.
  • 1 low fat yogurt + a handful of dried fruits and nuts.

Problem: You don’t have time to go to a gym.

Solution : A good foundation is to devote at least 30 to 40 minutes, twice a week for exercise. If you don’t have that time, then try to move/walk for five minutes four or five times a day. It could either be during your office hours or even while watching TV.

  • Do sit ups while you watch TV.
  • Go up and down the stairs at least once daily.
  • Don’t sit down when you are talking on the phone. Stand and walk around.

You must , of course, ensure the correct balance of these food groups. Dividing up your plate is the simplest solution.

6 Ways To Cut Fat Without Realizing It

Losing the gut is all about tweaking what you eat. Here are a few tips:

  • Order large cut fries: If you love French fries, always order the large cut fries. These fries don’t absorb as much oil as shoestring or curly fries, which lowers the fat counts.
  • Soften your spread: Soften butter or margarine at room temperature or in a microwave. Chances are you’ll spread your bread with one quarter of the fat and calories you do when you put it on cold.
  • Cool your cans: Refrigerate canned meats, soups, gravies and other canned foods containing fat. The fat will rise to the top and collect, so you can scrape it off.
  • Juice a stir fry: With a can of frozen orange juice concentrate, you have a great way to add flavour to stir fried chicken and vegetables without adding fat. Just a few spoonfuls will do. It’s even better of you add some garlic.
  • Slice fat from pizza: Order your pizza with double tomato sauce and light cheese. Men who eat tomato products tend to beat prostate cancer, thanks to the lycopene content in tomatoes. And reducing the mozzarella by just one third will save you 20g of fat per pie.
  • Dilute your fruit juice: Fruits juice is sneaky fattening a 450ml bottle of cranberry juice contains about 275 calories. Dump half and store it, then refill the bottle with water. You’ll barely notice the difference and you’ll be cutting half the calories.
